Raipur, CG: The bravery of the soldiers engaged in the security of the country inspires the youth to join the army, said Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma.
Keeping in mind that the responsibility of defense of any country lies in the hands of the youth, he added while addressing the workshop organised regarding the recruitment of Agniveer at the local Shahid Smarak Bhavan, Raipur.
“I am confident that this workshop will be useful for the youth. Their participation in the army will increase. Also, the youth of the state will join the Agniveer scheme,” he said.
Sharma, quoting former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, said that governments come and go, governments will come and go, but democracy remains immortal. Peace and security are essential for the strength of the democratic system. Our forces are doing the work well.
He said that India's borders are more diverse and challenging than the borders of any other country. Only the youth accept the challenge by joining the army.
He said that it is a matter of happiness that the youth of Chhattisgarh also have the feeling to protect the borders of the country and are ready to make the supreme sacrifice for the country.
He asked the officials to ensure necessary arrangements so that maximum youth from Chhattisgarh state are selected for Agni Veer recruitment.
He said that information about online registration, application, website information, written examination, recruitment rally and medical examination and other necessary instructions should be conveyed to the youth through various mediums. In which maximum youth of the state can get benefits.
Director of Employment and Training Department, Dr. Priyanka Shukla said that in order to include more and more youth of Chhattisgarh in the Indian Armed Forces, the responsibility has been given by the state government to the District Employment and Self-Employment Guidance Centres under the Directorate of Employment and Training.
Giving information about army recruitment to the youth in their work area, they should get themselves registered in the online portal. Workshops are being organized for Agni Veer recruitment in all divisions.
Wing Commander Paras Aggarwal from Indian Air Force Bhopal and Major P.K. Mathur from Indian Army Raipur was present in the workshop.
