National Road Safety Short Film Festival from today

Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will inaugurate the two-day National Road Safety Short Film Festival in the capital Raipur on January 24 at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium located in the Medical College of the capital ity, Raipur. Road safety exhibitions and street plays will also be organized on the occasion.

National Road Safety Short Film Festival is being organized in a series of public awareness educational programs related to various road safety and smooth traffic being organized under the National Road Safety Month 2024.

In the first session of the festival, 44 short films identified as the best out of 460 entries in various languages received from different states of the country will be screened from 10 am.

A street play based on road safety will be staged by “Stay Fit with Me Group” at 11:30 am. After this, there will be a program of road safety exhibition, release of traffic guide, distribution of prizes to the winners of the film festival and screening of excellent and award-winning films at 12 noon. In the second session, short films related to road safety will be screened from 4 pm.

On January 25, in the third session, selected special short films will be screened for the general public from 10 am. Inter-departmental Lead Agency (Road Safety) Chhattisgarh, Transport Department and Chhattisgarh Police have appealed to the common citizens for maximum participation.

For the National Road Safety Short Film Festival, candidates from other states including Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Bihar, Punjab, Assam, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Delhi, Odisha and Registration of participants from different areas of Chhattisgarh has been done.

Submissions have been accepted in two categories in the National Road Safety Short Film Festival, Chhattisgarh 2024, these include (1) Chhattisgarhi language (Chhattisgarhi, Godi, Dhurva, Bhatri, Dorli, Sambalpuri, Kudakh, Sadri, Baigani, Kamari, Auriya, Surgujia, Dantewada Godi etc) and (2) Other Indian languages, subtitles in Hindi are made mandatory for all entries.
