Chhattisgarh to have poll for one seat

Raipur, Chhattisgarh: The Election Commission of India has announced the election date for the 56 Rajya Sabha seats falling vacant before the Lok Sabha elections. One seat of Chhattisgarh is also included.

Chhattisgarh has a total of five Rajya Sabha seats. At present Rajeev Shukla (INC) and Ranjeet Ranjan (INC) for tenure of June 30, 2022 – 28,  Phulo Devi Netam and K.T. S. Tulsi, both from INC with tenure from April 10, 2020-26 and Saroj Pandey, the lone BJP candidate seat, will be falling free as the tenure was from April 3, 2018 to April 2nd 2024.
