DANTEWADA,CG: The search and operation team of security personnel on Tuesday arrested 15 Naxalites during patrolling at the Girsapara hills of Gumalnar in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.

The security personnel said IED bombs, pitthu bags, Naxalite uniforms, crowbars and shovels of daily use have been seized from those arrested. They were planning to escape by blasting bombs on security personnel on patrolling.

Security have launched ‘Operation Surya Shakti’ to eliminate Naxalites. Under it, they are continuously working to free those areas from red terror. Recently, hundreds of soldiers from Bijapur, Dantewada and Narayanpur had conducted a joint operation in which 8 Naxalites were killed. According to some documents found during area searching after the encounter, higher cadres of Naxalites were training the fighters here. Rewards have also been marked for the higher cadres.

Abujhmad is now completely unknown and Naxalites take advantage of it. They escape every time by taking help of the dense forest and nature here. Abujhmad is a safe zone of Naxalites. Therefore, this time the soldiers have decided to attack their safe zone only and are continuously conducting search operations in these areas.
