Holistic approach towards youth development: Srinivas

RAIPUR,CG: G.V. Srinivas, Additional Secretary (Latin America and Caribbean), Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi emphasized the importance of understanding the nation’s foreign policy, its holistic approach towards youth development, and the guiding principles of the foreign ministry.

He was addressing Insightful Talk on India’s Foreign Policy under Student And Ministry of External Affairs Engagement Programme (SAMEEP) scheme at National Institute of Technology, Raipur.

Dr. N.V. Ramana Rao spoke about the institute’s involvement in initiatives like the Gyan, Spark, and Vajra Programs.

G.V. Srinivas motivated the students to bridge existing gaps and elevate the institute to new heights. He highlighted various MEA schemes relevant to students and the importance of maintaining discipline. He articulated that true success lies not in first-time victories but in the perseverance to calculate risks and try repeatedly.

He also shared his experiences of managing international events and emphasized India's significant role in global affairs, including the success of the G20, achievements during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the distribution of Made in India vaccines to different countries. Additionally, he spoke about academic collaborations with foreign universities. This was followed by a lively Q&A session where Srinivas answered all the participants’ queries related to the Ministry of External Affairs and its functioning.
