Chhattisgarh picks pace of development

* Vishnu Deo Sai government completes 6 months

RAIPUR,CG: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, completing six months in government, Chhattisgarh has again picked up the pace of development on the track of good governance.

The government has taken historic decisions for farmers, women and youth in a short time with intention to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve of a developed India.

The Bharatiya Janata Party had during the state assembly election had given a pledge to the people of state that it would ensure good governance with the aim to bring happiness and prosperity in the lives of the people.

The Government of Chhattisgarh has constituted a separate Department of Good Governance and Convergence. The department is working for successful implementation of welfare policies, best utilization of available resources and prompt resolution of public problems. All departments have been instructed to use IT as much as possible for good governance. Atal Monitoring Portal has been launched on Good Governance Day, December 25, the birthday of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister to monitor and review the ambitious schemes of the state government, an official communication said.

After coming to power Sai had approved Prime Minister's Housing for 18 lakh homeless and needy families, bonus amount of paddy to more than 13 lakh farmers, purchased paddy at the rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal and 21 quintal per acre, and Rs 1,000 rupees under Mahtari Vandan Yojana per month to women beneficiaries.

To eradicate Maoism in Maoist affected areas ‘Niyad Nellanar Scheme’ has been started to provide better facilities to the people in these areas. Many innovative schemes like Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Krishak Unnati Yojana, Ramlala Darshan Yojana, Udyam Kranti Yojana have been started. The Honor Fund of Democracy Fighters (MISA prisoners) has been restarted.

The Chief Minister has asked the administrative officials to work sensitively to remove the problems of common citizens. Preparations have been started for the implementation of many schemes like Deendayal Upadhyay Landless Agricultural Laborer Scheme. Revenue administration is also being strengthened. To resolve land related disputes and problems, a strategy has also been prepared on geo-referencing of land maps.

The government has decided to constitute the Chhattisgarh Economic Advisory Council to increase the pace of economic development in the state, to consult expert institutions and to implement the best practices going on in the country and the world as per the situation of the state.
