RAIPUR,CG: Chhattisgarh State Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh on Thursday asked the Public Works Department (PWD) officials to incorporate solar technology to fulfill the energy needs of the new building. The extensive tree plantation around the premises, and implement water harvesting to maximize the use and conservation of rainwater should be ensured.
He was presiding over the committee meeting for the construction of the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building at the Chief Minister’s official residence in Raipur. The discussions focused on the ongoing construction of the new Legislative Assembly building, an MLA rest house, and residences for officers and employees in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.
He emphasized the use of high-quality materials and advanced technologies to create a building that will serve the needs for the next 100 years.
Dr. Singh also instructed that all construction work be expedited and mandated monthly review meetings chaired by Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain to monitor progress.
The Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Minister and PWD Minister Arun Sao, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Brijmohan Agrawal, Finance Minister O. P. Choudhary, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Secretary Dinesh Sharma, and senior officials from the PWD, Housing and Environment, and Finance Departments were present.
