Chhattisgarh Pickleball players perform

RAIPUR,CG: Chhattisgarh players had won medals in all categories in the East Central Zone Pickleball Tournament, winning medals in all categories.

Indian Pickleball Association had jointly organised the 3rd East Central John Pickleball Tournament with UP Pickleball Association. It concluded on Monday.

In the hard-fought final of Open Men's Singles, Lukesh Netam (Chhattisgarh) became the runner-up after losing to his opponent Naval Preet Singh of Rajasthan by 9-15.

In the mixed doubles final of the same category, Lukesh along with Suhani Pathak of Chhattisgarh won the gold medal by defeating the pair of Jayant Solanki and Sabhi Vyas of Madhya Pradesh in a tough match of 15-11.

In Open Women's Doubles, the pair of Sanskriti and Suhani won the bronze medal by defeating Pinky Sharma and Naitanya Malik Delhi 15-9.

In the final of 50 mixed doubles, Chhattisgarh's Jayesh Ashfaliya and Shilpi Matreja defeated UP's K. Kumar and Jyoti by 15-2 and became the winners. In the same category, the pair of Rupendra Singh Chauhan and Bhavana Chauhan of Chhattisgarh won the bronze medal by defeating the pair of Pravindra Bisht and Pushpa Khaitan of Uttarakhand by 11-6.

In 50 men's doubles, the pair of Jayesh Ashfalia and Rupendra Chauhan reached the final. In the final, they lost to the pair of Ajit Bhardwaj and Akhil Jha of Delhi by 4-15 and got the silver medal.

In Under-18 mixed doubles, the pair of Sanskriti and Raunak Jain defeated Jharkhand's pair of Sachin Choudhary and Sucheta Verma by 11-4 and won the bronze medal.

In the Under-18 boys' doubles, the pair of Harsh Baradia and Raunak Jain defeated Jharkhand's Harsh and Sachin Choudhary by 15-15 to win the bronze medal.

In the Under-18 singles final, Sanskriti Tayal of Chhattisgarh won the title by defeating Suhani Pathak of Chhattisgarh by 11-8.

In the third and fourth match in Women's Open Singles, Suhani Pathak defeated Sanskriti Tayal 15-3 and won the bronze medal.

Chhattisgarh also won gold and silver medals in 50 plus women's singles, in which Shilpi Matreja won the singles title by defeating Reena Agarwal 15-4, while in the doubles of the same category, the pair of Shilpi and Reena lost to UP's Jyoti and Pushpa 9-15 to and got silver medal

In 35plus women's singles, Shilpi Matreja had to be content with a silver medal after losing 15-7 to UP's Pinky Sharma.

35 In the final of mixed doubles, Reena Aggarwal of Chhattisgarh along with Manoj Kumar of Nepal reached the final and got silver medal after losing to Akhil Mathur and Sakshi 5-15 in the final.

In the final of 60 doubles, Chhag RC Meshram and Dinesh Jain won the bronze medal.
