Raipur,CG: Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV) Raipur Dr Girish Chandel will be conferred the honorary rank of “Colonel Commandant” by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in a function to be held at the Auditorium of Agriculture College Raipur on Friday (June 21).
Dr. Chandel was admitted to Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh NCC.
Additional Director General of the NCC Directorate Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Major General Ajay Kumar Mahajan, will decorate Vice Chancellor Dr Girish Chandel with the honorary “Colonel Commandant”. The title of Colonel Commandant and appointment letter will be handed over to Dr. Chandel by Mahajan in the investiture ceremony. The programme is scheduled to begin at 11 am.
The Vice Chancellors of various universities running the service are honoured with the title of Colonel Commandant. Dr. Chandel will be the lone Vice Chancellor to be honoured with the title of Colonel Commandant.
