RAIPUR,CG: Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Government of Chhattisgarh has invited applications from players, coaches and judges till June 30 for the State Sports Awards. Players will have to apply separately for each year.

The Sports and Youth Welfare Department states that the awards for players include Shaheed Rajeev Pandey Award, Shaheed Kaushal Yadav Award, Veer Hanuman Singh Award, Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Award and Shaheed Vinod Choubey Award and Chief Minister Trophy.

For Martyr Pankaj Vikram Samman, sports associations can send applications along with recommendations from state sports associations to the district office or directorate, Raipur. The player will have to submit a separate application for the award for each year. Along with this, applications have also been invited for cash amount, motivation fund, diet money for the financial year 2021-22 and 2022-23. Cash prizes of Rs 03 lakh will be given for Martyr Rajeev Pandey Award, Rs 1.50 lakh for Martyr Kaushal Yadav, Rs 1.50 lakh for Veer Hanuman Singh Award, Rs 25,000 for Martyr Vinod Chaubey Award and Pankaj Vikram Samman.

The Chief Minister Trophy will be awarded for team games of senior and junior category, in which in team games whose number of members is 04, a prize of Rs 02 lakh will be given to the senior category and Rs 01 lakh will be given to the junior category. In team sports in which the number of members is more than 24, a prize of Rs 05 lakh will be given to the senior category and Rs 03 lakh to the junior category. Apart from the award, a standard certificate, decoration plaque, blazer and tie will also be given.
