CG NEWS: Supebeda residents gets hospital for kidney patient

RAIPUR,CG: Chhattisgarh State Public Health, Medical and Family Welfare Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal on Wednesday dedicated a 10-bed dialysis unit for kidney suffering patients of the district built in the Covid Hospital of Gariaband.

He was on a visit to Gariaband district. He sought details about the health of the patients admitted undergoing dialysis and instructed the doctors for better treatment.

Minister also inspected other wards including the laboratory room built in the Covid hospital. He flagged off three ambulances with full facilities to transport kidney suffering patients of the district.

He said that two new dialysis centres would be established in Supabeda. Along with its RO for drinking water of villagers. Water will be applied. The work will be done to supply water from Tel River, purify it through a filter plant and deliver it to every house in the village.

Jaiswal reached the house of Supabeda kidney suffering patient Premjay Chhatrapal and inquired about his health. Chhatrapal said he has been provided dialysis facility at home by the doctors for the last three years. During this, Minister Jaiswal assured the family of providing all possible help from the administration.

He during discussion with the villagers in Supabeda, intimated about the establishment of labs in Gariaband and Devbhog. The minister said that free testing, treatment and medicines will be provided to kidney suffering patients of Supabeda and seven nearby villages. He said that two dialysis centres will be started in Supebeda in the next six months.

He said five doctors and two nephrologists for Gariaband district have been added. They will come to Gariaband twice a week and Supabeda and Devbhog twice a month for research on kidney disease.

He said that work will be done under a pilot project to investigate kidney disease in the district. So that diseases can be microscopically examined and treated. The disease will be examined on the basis of genetic testing of the villagers.

He also inaugurated the dialysis unit located at the Community Health Centre Deobhog and inquired about the well-being of the admitted patients.
