RAIPUR,CG: After completion of the period of central deputation, IAS officer Amit Kataria has returned to Chhattisgarh. He met Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain after joining the secretariat on Tuesday.
IAS Rajat Kumar is likely to also join after two days. He will be followed by IAS Dr. Rohit Yadav. Rajat Kumar had gone on central deputation in August 2019. Dr. Yadav has also been in Delhi since August 2018. Kataria had gone on central deputation before him in July 2017.
With the return of these three, the state administration will get secretary level officers. With the return of senior level officers, there is likely to be a reshuffle. NN Ekka, who returned from Bilaspur Commissionerate, will also be given posting. At present, he has been posted without any department.
During the reshuffle, the officers holding the charge of two to three departments can be given some relief. Bilaspur may also get a full time commissioner.
The official corridors states that IAS officers Subodh Singh, and Alex Paul Menon are also likely to come in next month. In the last eight months, four IAS officers have returned to the state. These include ACS Richa Sharma, Principal Secretary Sonmani Bora, Secretary Avinash Champawat, Ritu Sen.
As per reports, Amit Kataria is going to be honoured with the e-Governance Award-24. The 27th National e-Governance Awards will be given on September 3-4 in Mumbai. Kataria will be given the award for developing jurisdictional workplace monitoring and inspection-management online systems in the Rural Development Department. Kataria has been Joint Secretary in the Rural Development Department. This year a total of 16 officers will be felicitated across the country.
