He Deka spoke to the residents, acknowledging the challenges faced by senior citizens due to the modern social structure, where children live away for employment, leaving many elders alone. He also reviewed the facilities at the home, with Director Ritu Singh informing him that 110 children currently reside there. The Governor asked for all necessary facilities be provided for the children.
