Naxals kill ‘Shikshadoot’

SUKMA,CG,INDIA: The Naxalites have intensified the bloodshed by showing their barbarity in Jagargunda police station area of Sukma district where they killed a ‘Shikshadoot’ (Messenger of Education).

The police said that Naxalites organized a public court and beat Shikshadoot with sticks. After that he was strangled to death with a rope.

Naxalites killed teacher Dudhi Arjun Mangdu resident Gondapalli.

The Sukma police said, a search operation is being conducted to identify and arrest the Naxalites involved in the murder. A case has been registered in Jagargunda police station regarding the incident and the police is engaged in a thorough investigation of the incident.

The deceased Dudhi Arjun had played an important role in opening the closed schools despite the fear of Naxalites. The Naxalites allege behind the murder that Arjun worked against their activities and opposed the public assistance works being run by them.

Sukma SP Kiran Chavan confirmed the incident and said that the murder by Naxalites is extremely sad and condemnable. Police have started investigating the case and the search for the accused is ongoing.

Three days ago, Naxalites had murdered two villagers of Jappemarka village of Bijapur district by accusing them of being police informers and sentenced them to death.
