RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur's Rajbhasha Samiti hosted its Prize Distribution Ceremony for Aahwahan'24 on 23rd September, 2024. The Aahwahan'24 was conducted from 9th to 23rd September 2024. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members as well as students. Winners of various events including faculty members and students were present during the prize distribution ceremony. The events were organised under the guidance of Dr. Sapan Mohan Saini, and Dr Mohit , Jaiswal, Faculty Incharge, Rajbhasha Samiti .
The event was conducted to instil the importance of Hindi as our National language and restore the faith towards the Hindi language in our society. On 9th September a quiz competition was held for faculty members. Between 17th and 20th September, zealous events were organised for students comprising of Nukkad Natak, Kavita Vachan (Poem Recitation), Chitra Katha Lekhan (Picture based story writing), Treasure Hunt and Sack Race. On 19th September competitions such as Kahani Lekhan, Shabda Rachna and Kavita Vachan were held for faculty members. On 23rd September the winners of various competitions were honoured.
The prize distribution ceremony for Aahwahan’24 began with the lamp lighting ceremony. The winners of Kavita Vachan competition organised for faculty members were as follows : 1st, 2nd and 3rd position were secured by Dr. Suraj Kumar Mukti, Dr. Ayush Khare and Dr. Rajan Kumar respectively. The winners for Shabd Rachna competition were as follows : 1st, 2nd and 3rd position were secured by Dr. Suraj Kumar Mukti, Dr. Vivek Agnihotri and Dr. Ayush Khare respectively. The winners for Kahani Lekhan competition were as follows: 1st, 2nd and 3rd position were secured by Dr. Ayush Khare, Dr. Suraj Kumar Mukti, Dr. Rajan Kumar respectively.
The winners of events organised for students were as follows: In the game of Dodgeball, 1st, 2nd and 3rd position were secured by Jagmohan Jaiswal, Raj Vikram Tiwari and Krishna respectively. In Kavita Vachan, 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions were secured by Sarthak Pandey, Harsh Tripathi and Tanay Rathi respectively. In the Chitra Lekhan competition 1st, 2nd and 3rd position were secured by Harshit Jhariya, Deepika Sinha and Muskan Sarkar respectively. In Sack Race for boys 1st, 2nd and 3rd position were secured by Abhishek Kumar, K Soham and Lakshman Ram respectively while for girls the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position were secured by Shikha Tiwari, Pawni Agrawal and Sakshi Gangwani respectively.
Faculty members present in the event motivated the students with their words of wisdom. Dr. Govardhan Bhatt, Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering emphasised on active youth participation to save our mother tongue- Hindi. Dr. Ayush Khare, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics expressed the importance of speaking and listening to Hindi language. Dr. Suraj Kumar Mukti, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering highlighted the importance of proper campaigning in increasing the influence of Hindi language. Dr. Mohit Jaiswal, Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering concluded the event by proposing the Vote of Thanks while sharing his experience and knowledge about Aahwahan'24.
