RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: Chhattisgarh Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma on Tuesday asked all the people of the district and state to ensure participation in the ‘Jal-Jagar’ program organized under water and environment conservation at Ravi Shankar Sagar Dam Gangrel in Dhamtari district on October 5th and 6th.

Under the Jal-Jagar program, there will be many activities including a marathon race, Navratri fair, Rudrabhishek, International Conference, ‘Jugaad from Junk’, and Adventure in ‘Manav Van’.

The half marathon will be organized in three categories, which include Gangrel Half Marathon, Endurance Run and Walkathon. Those wishing to participate in the Half Marathon can visit the website www.jaljagar.com and fill in the QR code. One can register by scanning the code and will be able to get more information. In this, first, second and third place winners will get prizes. The last date for registration is September 25th.

Under the Gangrel Half Marathon, the 21.1 kilometer marathon will start from 5.30 am. In this, the winning participants in the age group of 18 to 29 years, 30 to 49 years and above 50 years of age will be awarded. In this, first prize is Rs 10,000, second prize is Rs 7,500 and third prize is Rs 5,000. Similarly, under the Endurance Run, a 10 kilometres marathon will be organized from 6.15 am. Participants aged between 15 to 29 years, 30 to 49 years and above 50 years of age will participate in it. In this, first prize is Rs 6,000, second prize is Rs 3,000 and third prize is Rs 2,000. For family entertainment, a 5 kilometer marathon under Walkathon will be held from 6.30 am. In this, separate awards will be given for both men and women categories.
