PM Shri Yojana will take Chhattisgarh to new heights: CM

RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for including 78 more schools of Chhattisgarh in the PM Shri Yojana to develop them as model schools.

He said that 263 PM Shri schools were approved in the state, with the new approval the number has now increased to 341. Sai has said that it is a matter of joy that Prime Minister Shri Modi has resolved to make India a developed India by the year 2047 and is continuously taking new decisions in this direction. Efforts to improve the educational infrastructure and level of education through PM Shri Yojana will definitely play an important role in building a developed India.

Sai said that these schools included in the PM Shri Yojana will have arrangements for excellent science laboratories, libraries, business labs under the National Education Policy 2020, which will take Chhattisgarh to new heights in the field of education. He has also expressed gratitude to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for the important decision in the field of education.

The PM Shri Yojana, 211 schools have been approved by the Government of India in the first phase, 52 in the third phase and 78 schools in the fourth phase. All the 78 schools included in the fourth phase are from class 1 to 12.

In the first phase, schools approved under PM Shri Yojana have been upgraded, while in the third phase, approved schools are being upgraded. Facilities like smart classrooms, state-of-the-art labs for science and mathematics, sports facilities, and digital libraries are being developed in these schools.

The PM Shri Yojana was launched in the state of Chhattisgarh by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on February 19, 2024. To develop it as a model school by spending Rs. 2-2 crore per school under PM Shri has been sanctioned.
