RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka has signed the ordinance recommended by the Cabinet for making necessary amendments of the Municipal Corporations and Municipalities Act. It has now been published in the Gazette notification More than a dozen sections have been amended mainly in sections 5,9,11, 11-a,14, 14-A,B,C,15,16,17, 17-B, 18,20,23-a, 24,422,441 of the Municipal Corporation Act. And Sections 3, 19, 20,20-A B,32, 32-a b c of the Municipalities Act. The election of the Mayor and the Municipal Chairman will now be held by the general electorate. With the notification, the Urban Administration Department will soon take out the lottery for reservation of posts. The final publication of the electoral rolls for these elections will be made next week.
