It is collective responsibility to eradicate social evils: Sao

RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao stressed the need to focus on education as a tool to combat social evils and outdated practices, stating that only an educated society can build a strong state and nation.

He was participating in the youth introduction conference and felicitation ceremony organized by the District Sahu Sangh in Balodabazar. During the event, he inaugurated the newly constructed hostel for the Jhiriya Sahu community and launched several publications, including the Sahu Souvenir, the Teli Divas book, and a calendar prepared by former District Panchayat President Pawan Sahu. He also announced a grant of ₹25 lakh for constructing a stage and paver block at the Sahu Hostel.

The event saw the presence of Bhatapara MLA Inder Sao and Kasdol MLA Sandeep Sahu, who contributed to the program's significance.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao highlighted the industrious nature of the Sahu community, known for its integrity and dedication. He acknowledged their growing contributions in various fields and emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage while embracing modernity.

The Deputy Chief Minister commended the youth introduction conference as a commendable initiative by the Sahu community, promoting unity and progress. During the program, individuals excelling in community work were honoured with shawls, quince, and insignia as a mark of recognition.

The event also featured addresses from MLAs Inder Sao and Sandeep Sahu, with the participation of State Sahu Samaj President Tahal Singh Sahu, Balodabazar District Sahu Samaj President Sunil Sahu, social leaders, prominent citizens, and district administration officials.
