Chhattisgarh to set up ‘Pandal’ in Prayagraj for Mahakumbh

RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: The Chhattisgarh government has pledged plans to establish a dedicated ‘pandal’ at Prayagraj during the Mahakumbh 2025. The ‘pandal’ will provide food and accommodation for devotees traveling from the state to participate in this grand religious event.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended a formal invitation to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai to attend the Mahakumbh, set to take place at the Holy Sangam in Prayagraj. The invitation was delivered by Uttar Pradesh IT and Electronics Minister Sunil Kumar Sharma and Minister of State for Social Welfare Sanjay Gond, who also presented sacred Ganga water and a symbolic Kumbh memento.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai expressed gratitude for the invitation and emphasized the significance of the Mahakumbh, describing it as a blessed opportunity. He remarked, “While I have participated in the Kumbh before, the occasion is particularly special due to the collaborative efforts between states.”

In response to a request from Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Sai assured that Chhattisgarh would set up a pandal at the Kumbh site to represent the state’s culture and hospitality. A formal request has been made to allocate space for this purpose. The pandal will showcase Chhattisgarh's cultural heritage, developmental achievements, and will serve as a hub for providing food and lodging to visiting devotees.

Chief Minister Sai highlighted the importance of sharing Chhattisgarh’s traditions with visitors from across India and the world, stating, “We are eager to present the rich culture and progress of Chhattisgarh at this global gathering.”
