Cabinet decides for cent percent custom milling

RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: The Chhattisgarh Council of Ministers on Wednesday on custom milling and paddy disposal gave approval to enhance the target for 100% custom milling of paddy procured in the current Kharif season, ensuring its completion and deposit within the same season.

The surplus rice from this year’s paddy procurement will be deposited under the Central Pool of the Food Corporation of India by September 2025.

Permission was given to auction surplus paddy, following discussions on its return to the Government of India.

To meet the requirements for fortified rice deposits, Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Association will determine rates for FRK through NeML until supplies commence.

Millers will procure FRK from authorized manufacturers at rates fixed by the Government of India, consistent with the approach followed in 2023-24. Permission was granted to maintain stocks of fortified rice.

The first installment of the pending incentive amount for rice mills from the 2023-24 Kharif marketing year will be disbursed. It fulfils the long pending demand of the rice millers.
