RAIPUR,INDIA: Four people from Chhattisgarh participate in the main Republic Day main function at New Delhi as they had received the invitation as special invitees.
These include PM Yashasvi Yojana beneficiary Anubhav Rathore, National Award winner Anuradha Sahu from the field of handicrafts under the Textile Department, Kamla Bai and Noveen Rajwade from the field of handicrafts under the Women and Child Welfare Department.
Preparations have started for the Republic Day celebrations at Gandhi Maidan in Delhi which will run till January 25th. A total of 16 contingents will participate in this time's Republic Day parade. Like every year, this year too 10,000 special guests who have set examples in different fields have been invited to witness the parade of 76th Republic Day celebrations at Delhi.
These also include some talented people from Chhattisgarh. In fact, with the aim of increasing public participation in events of national importance, the Central Government invites people doing good work in various fields as guests in the main function of Republic Day every year.
This year too, the best performers in 31 different categories have been invited to the main function. These include Village Sarpanches, Disaster Relief Workers, Best Performing Water Warriors, Guests from Vibrant Villages, Guests from North Eastern States, Best Patent Holders, Best Start-ups, Road Construction Workers.
