RAIPUR: High Commissioner of India to the Maldives Munu Mahawar appreciated the tribal artefacts during his visit to Chhattisgarh’s Kondagaon district.
He inspected Udaan, Shilpa Nagari, Coconut Development Board and C-Mart located at Kondagaon district headquarters on Tuesday. He underlined the need for branding and marketing these products, an official communication states.
Mahawar appreciated the quality of products manufactured by the women of self-help groups. He suggested its promotion by making a special action plan for its marketing and branding of these products.
He also purchased various artefacts during his visit to ‘Shilpnagari’ (artisan promotion centre) where products of ‘Bell metal’, ‘Woodcraft’, ‘Tumashilpa’, ‘Terracotta Craft’ and Wrought Iron Craft made by tribal artisans are available.
He also visited Coconut Development Board and C-Mart.
