RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee President Mohan Markam on Saturday said that 70 heads of communities have extended support for the ‘Jan Adhikar Rally’ on January 3. Congress is organizing the rally on the issue of a bill pending before the Governor for signature and alleging BJP’s role in keeping the bill pending. Event will be organized at Science College ground, Raipur. Markam said that he had telephonic interaction and personal level discussion with the heads of different communities. They had given the support in written form and also assured even to participate in the rally. The community leaders backing the Congress said that the party is fighting the battle of the deprived class of the common man. Not signing the reservation amendment bills is affecting the future of the youth. Congress party workers of 90 assembly and 307 blocks will participate in the rally. All the District Presidents and MLAs of Congress will participate, said Markam. He said delay in signing the bill will send the wrong message among the people. The two reservation amendment bills were passed in the state assembly taking in consideration of all the communities deserving it. There is a provision of 76 percent reservation.
