Conclusion of the 24th Chhattisgarh Pradesh Rifle Association Shooting Competition

RAIPUR, CG (INDIA): The state-level shooting competition organized by the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Rifle Association concluded on Monday with great enthusiasm. Event, held from 28 August to 06 September 2025, witnessed the participation of approximately 388 shooters from all districts of the state. The competition is conducted annually with the support of Jindal Steel, and players from across the region actively participate every year.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. He congratulated the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Rifle Association and Jindal Steel for successfully organizing the event. Addressing the participants, he said, “Sports not only help maintain the physical health of players but also teach them how to face the challenges of life. Every participant gains something new by taking part in the competition, so players should not be discouraged after defeat and must keep striving continuously.”

The ceremony was also graced by Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary, Public Works Department, Anil Sahu, Secretary Chief Climate Weaher, and Pradeep Tandon, President of Jindal Steel, who extended their best wishes to the players.

This year’s competition featured various categories including 50-meter rifle, 10-meter air rifle & pistol, 25-meter air, and center fire pistol events, with all participants enthusiastically showcasing their talent and sportsmanship.

The championship plays a vital role in promoting sports talent while fostering discipline, confidence, and perseverance among the youth.
