BILASPUR (CG): Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (a Central University) and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Kazakhstan signed a MoU to promote cultural exchange and educational activities at New Delhi.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal on behalf of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya and Arman Ilyassov, Head of Consular Section, Embassy of Kazakhstan in India on behalf of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Astana, Kazakhstan signed the MoU.
Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education, Government of India, Dr. Subhash Sarkar, Union Minister of State for Education, Chairman of the University Grants Commission, Prof. M. Jagdish Kumar was also present.
Prof Chakrawal said, “The MoU fulfils the objective of National Education Policy-2020, that of internationalization of education and teaching with Indianness”. It will prove to be effective in bringing both the countries closer academically, promoting cultural exchange and educational activities.”
He said that through it, opportunities for skill development, proper employment, motivation for startups, and more avenues for research and innovation will be made available to the youth.
