RAIPUR: Raipur district administration has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries for creating voter awareness.
The Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce will motivate all its business members, people working in their establishments-shops, workers and their families to vote in the upcoming elections.
It will run a voter awareness campaign. The chamber will also provide necessary cooperation in the work of getting the names of all the people above the age of 18 years registered in the voter list, deletion and amendment.
All members of the Chamber of Commerce will provide a day off on Election Day to all employees working in their establishment to vote.
Along with this, appeal to the people through commercial establishments to vote judiciously, ethically and 100 percent and will provide necessary cooperation in the programs to bring awareness. It will also provide necessary support to the SVEEP Corps team in organizing programs for voter awareness in residential colonies of the city.
