RAIPUR: The Great Chhattisgarh Run Marathon race will be organized in Nava Raipur of the capital on December 17, 2023.

Raipur District Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Bhure on Monday launched the registration of participants for the marathon in a simple ceremony organized at Raipur.

The marathon will be held in four categories: 6 kilometers, 10 kilometers, 21 kilometers and 42 kilometers. The marathon will be organized by Let's Run organization in collaboration with the district administration. The marathon will focus on the theme of birds found in Chhattisgarh. More than 3,500 runners are expected to participate.

Let's Run organization has been organizing such marathons with enthusiasm and enthusiasm continuously for the last seven years in state. It will be the eighth edition of the marathon. The organization Let's Run is a group of not only professional runners but also people from different sections of society associated with running. People of every age and class, who believe in keeping themselves physically and mentally healthy through running, are associated with the institute. It organises three-four such small and big marathon races in a year.

Director, Dr. Vinay Tiwari said that every year the Great Chhattisgarh Run is organized with a specialty of the state as its theme. This year, birds found in state been identified as the theme.
