RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday performed the Bhoomi Pujan for construction of the new Chhattisgarh Krishi Bhawan to be built on 3.14 acres at a cost of Rs 49.50 crore in Sector 19 of Nava Raipur.
He also planted the sapling of Swarn Champa in the premises. He took details of the construction from the officials.
Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare, Biotechnology Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Ravindra Choubey and others were present, an official communication said.
The five-storey ‘Chhattisgarh Krishi Bhawan’ will house all the departments related to agriculture - Directorate of Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture and Field Forestry, Watershed Management, Livestock Development, Fisheries, the office of Agriculture Minister and Agricultural Production Commissioner.
He also dedicated the Agriculture Marketing Federation office.
It will be developed as an ‘Integrated Resource Centre’ for the development of the agriculture sector.
