RAIPUR: "Sangathan-2023" a two-week long major event was inaugurated with the Lighting of the Torch by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Piyush Kant Pandey and the initiation of a torch rally by student sports coordinators, amidst loud cheering and a large gathering of faculty and students at the Amity University Chhattisgarh, Raipur. 

VC, Professor Pandey inspired the students with his charming remarks and urged them to compete in the Sangathan matches with competitive zeal. He told youngsters that winning and losing are both a part of sports and that they should be respected in the tradition of Sangathan. He also thanked the students for performing in 'Sangathan' and sharing their talents with the community.  All the student and faculty sports coordinators took an oath, which was administered by Vice Chancellor Prof. Pandey.   

The students participation in Sangathan, a competition featuring multiple sports, was met with excitement and enthusiasm. Indoor (Carrom, Table Tennis, Chess, etc.) and outdoor (Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Kabaddi, Volleyball, etc.) sports competitions for men and women are planned. A friendly Cricket was played between the Amity University Raipur Staff and that of the Adani Power Limited, Tilda as an opening event. 

"Sangathan-2023" will culminate at a mega event where the students from all the campuses of Amity in India and abroad will be showcasing their sports and cultural talents at New Delhi.
