RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said the state government schemes had helped to bring economic and social changes among women. As they have been linked with economic activities in villages.
He was interacting with women during a state level women’s conference organized on the occasion of Teeja Pora Tihar at his official residence premises.
Baghel’s wife Mukteshwari Baghel and his family members participated in the program. Food and Culture Minister Shri Amarjeet Bhagat, Chairman of State Mineral Development Corporation Girish Dewangan were also present.
Baghel said the state government had made efforts and schemes in the interest of women in the state. The scheme of ensuring employment in Gauthans, schemes like forest produce collection, Bihaan, with resources for income and employment have become easily available to them. At present lakhs of women in the state are getting direct benefits from it.
He highlighted the schemes for fighting malnutrition among the women and children, Swami Atmanand School to provide free English education and Chief Minister Haat Bazar Clinic among others.
