RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday said the decentralisation of the schemes was done to bring in changes in the rural sector.
He was participating in the program “Bharosa au Sarkar” organized by a private TV news channel.
He said the number of villages in India is more and the number of cities is less. The villages are the centers of production, and cities are the centres of marketing of rural products. Hence, villages should be self-reliant. The Chief Minister said that Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) has been started in the state to make the villages self-reliant. At present 300 RIPAs have been established in the state. The youth also get the benefit of online education along with the facility of free WiFi, including generation of employment.
The work to make the farmers of the state self-reliant began with waiver of loans of the farmers, paddy procurement at minimum support price, and inclusion under NYAY scheme through financial support.
Baghel said along with farmers, money is reaching the pockets of every section of Chhattisgarh through schemes and businessmen are getting its direct benefits. It is the reason why there was no impact of recession in Chhattisgarh even during the Corona period.
The Chief Minister said that the dreams of farmers and laborers in Chhattisgarh are small. The state government has fulfilled the dreams of 3 crore people by decentralizing the schemes and this is bringing a smile on everyone's face. The schemes of the government, the present government has won the trust of the people from Surguja to Bastar.
