Polling teams dispatched for polling

RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: In preparation for the Raipur South Assembly constituency by-election on November 13, polling teams were sent to their respective polling stations with voting materials from the Government Engineering College, Sejbahar.

General Observer G. Rekha Rani and District Election Officer Dr. Gaurav Singh greeted the polling teams with flower garlands before dispatching them. The teams were provided with a trolley to transport materials from the strong room to their vehicles, along with security forces and support staff for safe transit.

District Election Officer Dr. Gaurav Singh had conducted an inspection of the polling stations on Monday night, instructing officers to ensure smooth voting arrangements at all stations. Measures have been put in place to provide basic facilities, ensuring that voters can cast their votes freely.

The by-election will take place on Wednesday, November 13, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., across 266 polling stations—253 general and 13 auxiliary booths, including 10 pink booths, 5 youth booths, and 1 accessible booth for disabled voters. Voting equipment includes 532 Ballot Units (BUs), 266 Control Units (CUs), and 266 VVPAT machines, with additional reserve units available.
