Tribal Dance Troupes arrive in Raipur

RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: In celebration of Tribal Pride Day, marking the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, a grand state-level event will be held on November 14 and 15 at the Science College grounds in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Guided by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, this two-day program will showcase vibrant cultural performances by tribal dance troupes from 17 states, including Chhattisgarh.

On Tuesday, dance troupes from Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Rajasthan, and Sikkim arrived in Raipur to perform. Each troupe will present traditional dances from their regions: the troupe from Arunachal Pradesh will perform the Adilok dance drama, Uttarakhand will showcase Jhinjhi, Holi, Hanna, and Diya dances, Telangana will present the Mathuri Tribal Dance, Rajasthan will perform the Valar Garasia Gair Dance, and Sikkim’s Subba troupe will perform a folk dance drama.

Alongside these inter-state folk dance presentations, the event will also feature a seminar on tribal pride and an exhibition of tribal lifestyle paintings, starting at 3 pm on both days at the Science College grounds.
