RAIPUR/NEW DELHI,BHARAT: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday North Block, New Delhi, to discuss key issues related to the state, including development, security, and anti-Naxal strategies.
The Chief Minister briefed the Union Minister on the progress of operations in Naxal-affected areas, highlighting efforts in road construction, education, healthcare, and employment. Sai noted that these initiatives are fostering positive change in the region. Union Home Minister Shah appreciated the state’s efforts and assured full support from the Central Government.
The meeting also included a review of strategies to eliminate Naxalism. Sai emphasized the state’s strong progress under Shah's guidance, citing significant achievements in anti-Naxal operations.
Over 200 Naxalites neutralized and more than 700 surrendered in the past 11 months. The state is determined to eradicate Naxalism by March 2026, he said.
Sai reiterated the state’s commitment to security and development, thanking the Centre for its unwavering support. Shah assured continued assistance to Chhattisgarh in its fight against Naxalism and its path toward progress.
