RAIPUR: In a decisive move to curb illegal plotting and encroachment, Raipur District Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh issued strict directives to revenue officials during the weekly deadline meeting held at the Red Cross meeting room in the Collectorate premises on Monday.
Dr. Singh emphasized the need for swift action on illegal plotting cases and instructed revenue officers, including Patwaris, Revenue Inspectors, Tehsildars, and Sub-Divisional Revenue Officers, to maintain vigilant monitoring in their respective areas. He stressed that any instances of encroachment or illegal plotting must be addressed at the earliest stage to prevent further violations.
“All employees and officers of the Revenue and Corporation departments must keep a close watch on their areas and act promptly on complaints of encroachment,” said Dr. Singh. He further directed that police assistance should be sought before initiating action to remove encroachments, ensuring smooth coordination between the Police, Revenue, and Municipal Corporation teams.
The Collector also instructed that complaints related to encroachments within the Municipal Corporation and other urban bodies should be resolved without delay.
In addition to addressing encroachment issues, Dr. Singh directed officials to expedite the e-KYC process for ration card holders across all blocks and submit progress reports promptly. He also called for intensified efforts to issue Ayushman cards to individuals above 70 years of age and resolve pending cases related to social security pensions, including those for the disabled, within the stipulated time frame.
The Collector reviewed the status of actions taken on public complaints, Jan Chaupal cases, and other time-bound applications. He sought updates on each pending application from departmental officers and ordered their immediate resolution.
