Facilitation Council holds maiden meet, decides 7 cases

RAIPUR: The newly formed Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council held its first meeting on Tuesday at the Udyog Bhawan, Directorate of Industries, Telibandha, Raipur.

The council, established to resolve disputes arising from transactions within micro and small industries through the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises' solution portal, aims to streamline the dispute resolution process in the state.

During the meeting, a total of 34 cases were heard. Both parties—the applicants and non-applicants—were given an opportunity for reconciliation, with decisions based on documented evidence in cases of serious disputes. Seven cases were resolved, and orders for these cases will be issued. For the remaining cases, additional time was granted for further presentations of facts.

The members of the council decided to hold at least two meetings per month to address the growing number of pending cases. The next meeting is scheduled for January 10, 2025.

Council members present at the meeting included Kauntey Jaiswal, Vijay Garg, Kalwant Goyal, and Manoj Kumar Singh (Assistant General Manager, State Bank of India). The Directorate of Industries was represented by Anil Kumar Srivastava (Additional Director), Sanjay Gajghate (Joint Director), Jageshwar Kumar Sahu (Deputy Director), Narendra Kumar Dewangan (Assistant Director), and Prerna Aggarwal (Subordinate Accounts Service Officer).
