RAIPUR,INDIA: The reservation process for the posts of Mayor in Municipal Corporations and President in Municipalities and Nagar Panchayats for the upcoming general urban body elections of Chhattisgarh will take place on January 7.
The proceedings will be held at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, Science College Campus, Raipur. The schedule is as follows, Mayor (Municipal Corporations) and President (Municipalities) at 11:30 AM, President (Nagar Panchayats) at 12:30 PM.
Individuals interested in observing the process may attend at the designated venue and time.
The reservation process is being conducted under the Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation (Reservation of the Post of Mayor and Chairman) Rules, 1999, as part of preparations for the 2024-25 urban body elections. The Urban Administration Department is overseeing the allocation of reserved categories for the posts of Mayor and President to ensure compliance with these provisions.
