Prof. Kushwaha of GGU honored with Saraswat Award

BILASPUR,CG,INDIA: Prof. Alok Kumar Singh Kushwaha from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGU), a Central University, has been honoured with the Saraswat Award by the Achala Education Foundation Trust, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The award recognizes his outstanding contributions to the fields of education and entrepreneurship.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Chakrawal, congratulated him on the remarkable achievement. The Vice-Chancellor acknowledged Prof. Kushwaha’s impactful work at the national level, emphasizing that the Achala Foundation’s recognition affirms his significant contributions to the academic and entrepreneurial ecosystem. Encouraging continued excellence, he urged Prof. Kushwaha to further his research and innovation, bringing greater recognition to the university.

Expressing his gratitude, Prof. Kushwaha highlighted GGU’s commitment to experiential learning under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He noted that over 30 startups are actively operating within the university, supported by initiatives such as DST Tech, DST Nidhi, and ITBI. He credited these entrepreneurial incubation centers for fostering innovation and a thriving startup culture within the institution.

The Saraswat Award was presented during the National Symposium & Academic Excellence Awards 2025. The award ceremony was at the auditorium of Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad. Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank', former Union Minister of Education and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, presented the award to Prof. Kushwaha in recognition of his achievements.
