RAIPUR,CG(INDIA): The Commissioners and Chief Municipal Officers across the Chhattisgarh have been regularly visiting urban wards early in the morning to inspect ongoing works. These visits, starting as early as 6 a.m., are part of daily field inspections aimed at improving cleanliness, construction quality, and the implementation of government schemes.
These regular morning inspections have led to visible improvements in various areas, including door-to-door garbage collection, road sweeping, compost shed operations at SLRM centres, housing construction under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and health camps under the Chief Minister's Slum Health Scheme. There has also been progress in park and pond maintenance, road development, water supply management, drain cleaning, public toilet maintenance, and pipeline installations under the Amrit Mission.
Urban Development Department Minister Arun Sao has emphasized the importance of completing all construction works on time with a strong focus on quality. He has instructed officials to ensure that the benefits of all urban development schemes reach the intended beneficiaries and to make the cities cleaner, more beautiful, and environmentally friendly. Regular inspections by senior officials have helped in identifying problems, setting quality standards, and ensuring faster and more efficient implementation of projects.
As a result of these efforts, Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs) have significantly reduced across urban areas, and there has been a noticeable improvement in the overall cleanliness and functioning of local bodies. These proactive measures are also helping ensure that government schemes are being effectively implemented across all urban regions.
