Summer Camps across Chhattisgarh

RAIPUR, CG (INDIA): In a bid to engage school children in constructive and creative pursuits during the summer break, the School Education Department of Chhattisgarh has directed all Collectors and District Education Officers (DEOs) to organize summer camps at village school campuses and community halls.

Secretary of the department, Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, issued a formal letter outlining the objectives and framework of the initiative. The camps are designed to promote holistic development among students through a variety of interactive and participatory activities, with active involvement from parents and teachers.

According to the guidelines, the camps may include sessions on drawing, singing, essay writing, dance, sports, and other extracurriculars. Additionally, educational exposure visits to local industries, medical colleges, and other institutions have been encouraged to widen students' horizons.

To ensure the comfort and safety of children during the summer heat, camps will be conducted during cooler morning hours—from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Notably, the department will not allocate separate funds for these camps. Instead, district-level resources are to be mobilized to organize and facilitate the programs.
