NEW DELHI (INDIA): External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar attended Africa Day 2025 Celebrations in New Delhi yesterday. In a social media post, Dr. Jaishankar said that India and Africa have a deep solidarity and an unshakeable friendship. He added that India stands fully committed to Africa’s development, prosperity and progress. The Minister highlighted that both nations’ partnership continues to strengthen in trade, development cooperation, capacity building and security. He added that as Global South partners, India strongly advocates a greater voice for Africa in global institutions and discourse.
The External Affairs Minister further said that India and Africa will engage and work together very closely. Both countries will together fashion a contemporary agenda of cooperation aimed towards the realisation of African priorities.
