RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday said there is scope for expansion of technology based economy in future. It is necessary to equip the youth of the state with the latest technologies. He was addressing the signing of memorandum of understanding (MoU) of State Planning Commission, Chhattisgarh with Tata Technology, Pune at his residence office here.
It is to develop the state's technical educational institutions (polytechnics and ITIs) into technological hubs and up-gradation of agricultural research and innovation centres.
He said equipping the youth of the state with latest technology will help them for employment and self-employment. It will accelerate the industrial development in the state. The education of the youth should be according to the demand of the industries.
Deputy Chairman, State Planning Commission Ajay Singh said Tata Technology will provide its services to educational and technical institutions in collaboration with the State Planning Commission for the next three years. The Commission has constituted a ‘Strategy and Policy Assistance Unit’ for it.
Pushkaraj Kaulgud, Senior Vice President, Tata Technologies, Pune said that 23 technical short term courses would be started in the state.
