Chhattisgarh: Government’s key aim to augment income: CM

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said the key objective of the state government is to hike the income flow of the people. It will bring prosperity to all.

He was addressing a public gathering at village Mukta of Malkharoda block (Sakti district) under Chandrapur Assembly constituency.

Interacting with people during Bhent Mulaqat Abhiyan (public interaction), Baghel sought feedback on the flagship schemes of the government and status of implementation of welfare schemes.

He said, “We have delivered what was promised. The loan waiver of farmers, reduction of electricity bill, paddy procurement, health, education and others.”

It had benefited the poor, workers, farmers, backward communities including tribes, he said.

He said at present the acreage and production of paddy has increased. The registered farmers has increased to 26 lakhs and the area has gone up to 30 lakh hectares. Employment opportunities are being created by setting up Rural Industrial Park in Gauthans of all blocks.

He said ‘Chhattisgarh Model’ is a concept where villagers are getting the benefits of all the schemes of the government.

The Chief Minister asked the district collector and Sub Division Magistrate (SDM) to resolve the farmer’s issue of denial of compensation.

During interaction, Baradwar's farmer Golu Bareth raised the issue of not receiving compensation nor his land acquired in 2010 for establishing a power plant.

Hazari Lal Chandra, a farmer of village Hardi, pointed out that even after approaching authorities it has not been resolved. He stated that online records reflect some other person being reflected through documents in his name.

Chief Minister approved levelling of Gauthan, community building and shed in cremation ground in village Mukta, beautification construction work in Khanti pond in village Jamgahan, construction of road from Kalmi, Naharpar to Chikhli, Chhotekot, Sighra, and the main road in the Gram Panchayat Malkharoda to Belhadih.

He also declared upgrading Government Pre-Secondary School in Gram Panchayat Sarasdol to New High School, Government High School in Village Jamgahan and Sulauni to Higher Secondary School and new high school in village Mukta.
