Chhattisgarh to have drone, UAV units

RAIPUR: Government of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday signed two memorandum of understandings (MoU) for setting up ethanol production plant, drone and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturing unit.

The MoUs were signed at the Chhattisgarh Business Summit 2022 at India International Trade Fair-2022 in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. It was organized for business, entrepreneurs and exporters from electronics, minor forest produce and handicrafts and handloom.

Rajesh Gautam of NKJ Biofuel, Durg signed the MoU with the state government for setting up an ethanol production plant in the cooperative sector with an investment of Rs 140 crores.

Manish Bajpai of Daybest Research Private Limited, inked MoU for drone and UAV manufacturing units with investment of Rs 50.95 crore.

Throwing light on the industrial possibilities in Chhattisgarh, State Labour Minister Shiv Dharaiya encouraged entrepreneurs to invest in the state.

He said through new industrial policy various exemptions, incentives and benefits to the manufacturers interested in setting up a unit in the state.

State’s Commerce and Industries Special Secretary Him Shikhar Gupta throwing light on the investment and business possibilities, said that the state government has provisioned special packages, concessions to prioritize agriculture, forest based industries and single window system clearance.

A better environment for investment exists. The rules for establishment and operation of industries have also been simplified, he added.
