BEMETARA,CG: The Sub Divisional Officer (Revenue) Bemetara of Chhattisgarh on Thursday issued show cause notices to the beneficiaries for not completing the construction of houses under the rural housing scheme on time.

Similarly, show cause notices have been issued to recover the amount transferred under the scheme from the beneficiaries.

The notices have been issued to 01 beneficiaries from Village Baiji Gram Panchayat Baiji, 03 from Village Nawalpur Gram Panchayat Bilai, 5 and 1 beneficiary from Village Khapri and Village Mungeli Gram Panchayat Baradera respectively, an official communication said.

Under District Panchayat Bemetara, instructions have been given to take recovery action from more than 200 beneficiaries who did not construct houses within the time limit.

Similarly, in CEO District Panchayat Saja, show cause notices have also been issued to the beneficiaries who are not completing the housing construction within the time limit under Housing Scheme Rural and final notices have been issued to 76 beneficiaries to bring progress in the construction work in a week.

Recovery action will be taken from more than 76 beneficiaries who did not construct houses within the time limit.

The CEO District Panchayat Nawagarh has issued show cause notices to recover the amount transferred under the scheme from the beneficiaries who are not completing the house construction on time under the rural housing scheme.

From the year 2016-17 to 2022-23, out of total 12,027 sanctioned houses, 10,674 houses have been completed. But till date the houses have not been completed by 1,353 beneficiaries. SDM Nawagarh has issued notice to 137 beneficiaries who did not start the work after receiving the first installment and 233 beneficiaries who did not complete the house after receiving the third installment.

Now recovery action will be taken from more than 370 beneficiaries who did not construct houses within the time limit under District Panchayat Nawagarh.
