RAIPUR,CG: Under the Chief Minister Labor Pension Scheme in Chhattisgarh, pensions of eight more workers who have completed 60 years were released on Wednesday.
Construction Workers Pension Scheme was launched in Chhattisgarh on March 29 for the benefit of workers and their better living. Under the scheme, the pension amount of eligible construction workers is sent directly to their bank account. They are also extended other benefits also.
Labour Minister and President of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Lakhan Lal Dewangan released the pension of eight more workers.
Dewangan said that the state government is well-wishing for the workers. It is the full intention of the government that the workers should get maximum benefits of the scheme. Under the scheme, those registered construction workers who have completed 60 years of age will be given Rs 1,500 as pension every month. If a pensioner construction worker dies, there is a provision to give a monthly pension of Rs 750 to the dependent (spouse) of the construction worker.
Pension has been issued to workers of the districts of Mahasamund (2 workers), 4 workers of Bemetara and one worker each of Rajnandgaon and Durg.
