CG: CM seeks E-Office full implementation by March 31

RAIPUR,INDIA: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai reaffirmed the government's commitment to strengthening governance by making administrative processes more transparent, efficient, and swift.

During a meeting with departmental secretaries on January 1, 2025, he directed the implementation of the e-office system across all departments and offices. The General Administration Department has already adopted e-office for most of its files, and full implementation across all departments is set to be completed by March 31, 2025. Training programs for officers and employees have been planned to ensure smooth execution.

Chhattisgarh has introduced the e-office system in a phased manner to enhance e-governance and transparency. Initially launched in the General Administration Department, it has now been extended to all ministry departments. So far, 16 departmental head offices have been integrated, and implementation at the district level is progressing rapidly. Sakti has become the first district to fully adopt the system.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the e-office will improve government operations by automating processes, enhancing file tracking, expediting decision-making, and curbing corruption. He instructed the Chief Secretary to ensure digital approvals in all departments to eliminate unnecessary delays.

Aligned with the "Digital India" initiative, Chhattisgarh's e-governance reforms aim to make government services more accessible and efficient. The e-office system will streamline file approvals, enable real-time tracking, safeguard digital documents, and reduce duplication. By minimizing paperwork, government offices will function more effectively, becoming more accountable and cost-efficient. The reduction in paper usage, manpower, and transportation costs will also lower government expenditure.

The Chief Minister has directed all departments to prioritize e-office implementation, calling it a crucial step toward positioning Chhattisgarh as a leader in digital transformation.
