MAHASAMUND,INDIA: In accordance with the Chhattisgarh State Election Commission’s schedule for Urban Body Elections 2025, voting for the posts of Municipal President and Councilor in Mahasamund will take place on Tuesday, February 11. Similarly, as per the Three-Tier Panchayat Election 2025 schedule, polling for District Panchayat members, Janpad Panchayat members, Sarpanch, and Panch will be conducted on February 17, 20, and 23.
Following the Election Commission’s guidelines, polling day has been declared a mandatory holiday for all employees working in factories, establishments, and institutions under the Factory Act 1948 and the Chhattisgarh Shop and Establishment Act 1953 within the respective constituencies.
For factories operating seven days a week, first and second-shift workers will receive a two-hour break to cast their votes. Factories with continuous process operations are instructed to allow employees to vote as per a scheduled rotation.
The provision applies to all employees, including daily wage and casual workers, ensuring that every eligible voter has the opportunity to participate in the elections.
