RAIPUR,INDIA: Chhattisgarh has immense possibilities in the field of mineral resources, offering vast opportunities for industrial growth, trade, and employment, said P. Dayanand, Secretary, Department of Minerals, at a pre-bid conference organized by the Directorate of Mining and Geology, Chhattisgarh.
Speaking at the New Circuit House, Nava Raipur, Dayanand emphasized that Chhattisgarh plays a crucial role in India's economic growth, particularly in the mining and steel sectors. With its rich mineral deposits, including high-grade iron ore reserves in the Bailadila region, the state is poised to become a key contributor to the country’s industrial development.
"The Bailadila region serves as the backbone of India's steel industry, and its development will not only boost industrial output but also strengthen the local economy by creating employment opportunities," he added. He assured investors that the state government is committed to providing full support and a favorable investment climate for mining companies.
The conference, attended by mining investors and industry experts, focused on the auction of three world-class iron ore blocks in Dantewada and one in North Bastar Kanker. Officials detailed the e-auction process, ensuring transparency and ease of participation for potential bidders.
The pre-bid conference saw enthusiastic participation from mining companies, industrial groups, and investors, given the high quality of iron ore reserves in the Bailadila region. There was a strong positive outlook on the auction process and the investment environment in Chhattisgarh.
Online tender documents will be available for purchase until February 27, 2025, with the final tender submission deadline set for February 28, 2025 , by 3 PM. Interested bidders can obtain detailed information from the Directorate of Geology and Mining, Indravati Bhavan, Block-4, Second Floor, Nawa Raipur.
